Wish I had known this trick when I had a large remote team, this was included in my ILM level 7 qualification and I have found it useful many times since. It is super helpful in focusing another person to the 3 priorities and thought it might be good to share
So, you are rushing for a meeting and a member of your team grabs you for a quick chat because it is urgent, and the issue can’t wait.
Ask them to
1. Tell you 3 things about the issue
2. Tell you 3 consequences
3. Tell you 3 things you could do about it
